NEW YORK – Trump: Putin must stop the war immediately

NEW YORK, Sept. 23 /ATSH-ANSA/ — Donald Trump issued another challenge to world leaders from the podium of the United Nations General Assembly.

The president targeted everyone except his America — which he described as “stronger than ever” and where a “golden age” is already a reality for him.

While calling on Vladimir Putin to end the war in Ukraine, he issued another ultimatum to Iran: “Either a deal after the midterm elections, or we will destroy them completely.”

In a speech marked by a firm and aggressive tone, Trump laid out his vision based on the “America First” doctrine and strongly defended his foreign policy. He had arrived at UN headquarters after 09:00, accompanied by First Lady Melania.

Before boarding the escalator that had irritated him last year, the president seized the opportunity to attack CNN again — a media outlet present at the UN proceedings, but banned from entering the White House.

Trump spoke at the Assembly podium for nearly 40 minutes, listing his administration’s achievements — from the economy to immigration — before moving on to foreign policy.
