Under surveillance for weeks, 26-year-old caught with high-THC “gelato” cannabis and cocaine in Mamurras

A 26-year-old in Mamurras has been arrested for drug distribution.

Denis Shytaj was found with 194 doses of cannabis, 144 of them in “gelato” form with high THC content, as well as cocaine and 2 electronic scales.

“Finalized as the result of a two-month investigation, with proactive methods, the anti-drug operation codenamed ‘Target 4’. Seized: 338 doses of the narcotic substance Cannabis Sativa, part of it in gelato form (with high THC content), a quantity of cocaine, 2 electronic scales, 2 mobile phones and 1 vehicle. The 26-year-old who was selling narcotics in Mamurras was handcuffed,” police announced.

The substances were found hidden at the entrance to the town.

Official sources said: “Specialists of the Narcotics Investigation and Operational Investigation Support sections, under the direction of the Prosecution, finalized the anti-drug operation codenamed ‘Target 4’, during which, after 2 months of investigations with proactive methods, the criminal activity of a citizen in the production and sale of various narcotic substances was documented.”

It was further explained that: “From the investigation and intensive pursuit of this case, at the entrance to the town, in an improvised facility, hidden by the 26-year-old, allegedly for sale in Mamurras, were found 194 doses of the suspected narcotic substance Cannabis Sativa, 144 doses of this substance in gelato form with high THC content, a quantity of the same substance, a quantity of the narcotic substance cocaine and 2 electronic scales.”

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecution for further action.
