One-Month Detention for Russian Couple Krugljanski: Police Found Around One Million Euros and Spying Equipment in Budva and Bar
The investigating judge of the Kotor Basic Court, Špiro Pavićević, has ordered one-month detention for Russian citizens Aleksandar Mihailovič Krugljanski (31) and Aleksandra Krugljanska (42), suspected of goods smuggling and money laundering. The decision, writes the Montenegrin newspaper Vijesti, was taken due to flight risk — both suspects also hold Israeli passports.

The couple was arrested on September 23 at Tivat airport while boarding a flight to Tel Aviv with 19 suitcases. Police seized 26,210 euros and 1,150 Israeli shekels, as well as undeclared IT equipment: a GPS tracker with a microphone, the professional radio-signal detector BugHunter BH-04 — designed to detect hidden microphones and cameras — surveillance cameras and computer components.
During yesterday’s raids on premises the couple used in Budva and Bar, police found around one million euros, as well as more IT equipment — including, it is suspected, devices for surveillance and spying. According to Montenegrin police, the operation was coordinated with the competent prosecutor, the National Security Agency (ANB) and the international intelligence community.
