Over 20,000 visitors: fourth edition of the Children’s Book Festival and Fair closes
The fourth edition of the Children’s Book Festival and Fair has closed, having brought together children, parents and publishing houses for four years running in a grand celebration of books, as KosovaPress reports. This year’s edition set an attendance record with over 20,000 visitors and, according to ETEA organization director Agon Ahmeti, it is the most successful edition so far.
Around 15 publishing houses from Kosovo and the region, including Albania, took part in this edition, presenting their newest publications to young readers, according to KosovaPress. Fatlum Hetemi, a representative of the “Albas” publishing house, said they had brought a wide variety of children’s publications and that the fair had gone very well for them.
Parents who visited the fair said they were pleased with the organization, calling for such activities to be held more often. Dafina Beqiri Sekiraqa, a mother of a 3-year-old girl, told KosovaPress it is the third year they have come to the festival and that the event has had a positive impact on her child. With over 20,000 visitors and around 15 participating publishing houses, the fourth edition marked the festival’s biggest success, now organized for the fourth consecutive year.
