Over 600 Albanians protest in Mulhouse, France against the sentencing of former KLA leaders
More than 600 members of the Albanian community and their supporters gathered on Saturday, 26 September, at “General-de-Gaulle” square in the French city of Mulhouse, to oppose the sentences handed down by the Specialist Court in The Hague against four former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army, as Klan Kosova reports.
According to French media reporting, participants filled the square with red-and-black flags in a massive rally, demanding justice and respect for the rights of the former KLA leaders.
French media underline that the Specialist Court’s first-instance decision is not final, as an appeal is expected to be lodged at the second instance.
The protest unfolded peacefully under the motto “Not in my name”, in the wave of Albanian diaspora rallies across Europe against the Hague verdict, according to Klan Kosova’s reporting.
