Pakistan’s Interior Minister Visits Tehran on Sunday — No Specific Messages for Mediation

Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi will visit Tehran on Sunday to discuss bilateral relations, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei announced to Iranian state television.

According to Baghaei, there is “no plan for the exchange of any specific message” on the trip regarding mediation efforts to end the war between the US and Iran.

The visit comes at a time when Pakistan is repeatedly mentioned as one of the mediating countries between Tehran and Washington, alongside Qatar — a role that Iranian officials themselves have confirmed in recent days, including statements by Supreme National Security Council secretary Mohsen Rezaei about diplomacy mediated by Qatar and Pakistan.
