Pamer: North Macedonia to receive €140 million through the EU Growth Plan

North Macedonia will benefit from €140 million under the European Union’s Growth Plan. The news was announced by Austria’s ambassador to the country, Martin Pamer, according to the Skopje info portal.

Pamer praised the work of North Macedonia’s institutions in implementing reforms, saying that “North Macedonia did an excellent job regarding the Growth Plan.” According to him, the country has successfully completed part of the planned reform measures, opening the way for the release of European funds.

The Growth Plan is the EU’s instrument dedicated to the Western Balkans, which links European funds directly to the implementation of reforms by the countries of the region. Through this mechanism, payments from Brussels are released gradually, in line with the fulfillment of agreed reform steps.

The €140 million support is seen as a strong positive signal for North Macedonia’s European path, while further planned funds are expected to be released going forward, in line with the progress of reforms.
