Pamer: North Macedonia to Receive 140 Million Euros Through the EU Growth Plan

North Macedonia will benefit from 140 million euros under the European Union’s Growth Plan. The news was announced by the Austrian ambassador to the country, Martin Pamer, according to the Skopje info portal.

Pamer praised the work of Macedonian institutions in implementing reforms, declaring that “North Macedonia did excellent work regarding the Growth Plan.” According to him, the country has managed to successfully fulfill part of the foreseen reform measures, paving the way for the release of European funds.

The Growth Plan is the EU’s instrument dedicated to the Western Balkans, which links European funds directly to the implementation of reforms by the region’s countries. Through this mechanism, payments from Brussels are released gradually, according to the fulfillment of defined reform steps.

The 140-million-euro support is considered a strong positive signal for North Macedonia’s European journey, while other planned funds are expected to be released in the future, in line with reform progress.
