Rakočević: International pressure will bring back the debate on Mandić’s dismissal
The MP of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), Nikola Rakočević, said his party expects “strong pressure from the international community” on the parliamentary majority to hold a session of Parliament where the dismissal of the Speaker of Parliament, Andrija Mandić, is discussed and voted on, as the newspaper “Pobjeda” reports, the Montenegrin portal CdM reports.
Speaking on Nova M television, Rakočević said the international community will demand the dismissal of Mandić, who, according to him, “glorifies war criminals”, and that in this way the crisis will be exited — “and when the time comes, we will measure ourselves in elections”.
“Wherever we take a step forward toward the EU, someone from the majority appears, in a completely unbelievable way, who puts sticks in the wheels of the common vehicle that is going toward the EU,” Rakočević said, adding that this has become a kind of pattern — and that this time Andrija Mandić did it “on duty”.
As CdM recalls, the DPS had earlier warned that until there is a debate on Mandić’s dismissal, it will interrupt cooperation with the parliamentary majority and will not vote for the constitutional changes and other laws from the EU agenda.
