“Rama is working hard to make the dream a reality!” Von der Leyen after her Albania visit: The focus is on reforms

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen began her visit to the Western Balkans in Albania today (30 September), where she met Prime Minister Edi Rama at the Prime Minister’s Office at around 17:00. After the meeting, Von der Leyen published a message on social media praising Albania’s efforts in the European integration process and stressing the importance of reforms, particularly in justice and the environment, as well as dialogue with society. In her post, the European Commission President wrote: “Pleased to start my visit to the Western Balkans in Albania. Dear Edi Rama, you are working hard to turn Albania’s European dream into reality. The focus on reforms, from justice to the environment, is key. At the same time, maintaining a strong dialogue with society. The goal is on the horizon. This is how we will get there.”
