“Reporting Live”: Netflix unveils trailer for investigative thriller starring Parineeti Chopra, premiering October 9

Netflix today unveiled the official trailer for “Reporting Live”, the investigative thriller starring Parineeti Chopra and Deven Bhojani, as Filme Shilmy announces. The film, inspired by true events, arrives globally on the platform on October 9, 2026, and the trailer gives audiences a first taste of the dangerous investigation that pushes the journalist duo towards a world where the truth is protected by threats.

Chopra plays Sandhya, an ambitious and fearless reporter, while Bhojani is her cameraman Vinod. A fatal incident puts the two face to face with a case that at first looks like a simple reporting assignment, but which takes them deep into the illegal sand-mining network — a business so lucrative that it is protected by powerful people, as Netflix’s synopsis published by IANS states.

The wider cast also includes Amol Palekar, Adil Hussain and Shekhar Suman. The film marks the feature directorial debut of Dhruv Tripathi, who co-wrote the screenplay with Mihir Jadhav, while the producers are Partha Kiran Thakur and Joshua Shirsath.

Parineeti Chopra herself says of the role that she was immediately drawn to “a spirit that is curious, fearless and unyielding until it finds the truth”. The actress stresses that this is her second return to Netflix this year, again in the thriller genre, but with a new avatar — after the series “Shaque: Trust No One”, which marked her OTT debut on the platform on September 24.
