Roundtable on the “Euro model” today in Podgorica, organized by Milatović’s Cabinet
The Cabinet of the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, is organizing today a roundtable dedicated to the “Euro model,” as the Verige portal reports, citing the announcement of the President’s Cabinet. Representatives of institutions, the expert community and the academic world will take part in the roundtable, held in Podgorica.
The aim of the roundtable is an open and well-argued exchange of views on the “Euro model,” as well as an assessment of its possible economic, institutional and other aspects. The event is expected to open with an introductory address by President Milatović, after which the participants’ discussion will follow.
The roundtable starts at 10:00 and takes place at the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro in Podgorica.
The “Euro model” is the new economic plan of the Spajić government, which foresees wage increases — a minimum wage of up to 1,400 euros and an average pension of 600 euros, according to the announced plan. The plan has sparked public debate: employers have demanded gradual implementation and a full analysis of its effects, while unions insist on sustainability and full implementation of the rise in living standards.
