RTCG Council approves variable pay for director Raoniq: September salary above 4,000 euros

The Council of Radio Television of Montenegro (RTCG) has approved the variable part of the salary for general director Boris Raonić for his work in September, bringing his full monthly salary above 4,000 euros, as Vijesti reports. The decision was taken at an electronic session of the Council, with five votes in favor and two against.

Council members Marijana Camović Veličković and Janko Ljumović voted against the bonus. Camović Veličković said that in his request Raonić listed no activities that would justify the variable component, only ordinary activities belonging to his daily duties as general director, according to the same media outlet.

She stressed that during August not a single second of programming had been digitized and that the television had no funds for fees, while assistance for sick employees had not been paid for two months. In this context, she added, awarding a bonus is inappropriate.

Camović Veličković also recalled that Raonić, she claims, must return at least 30,000 euros to RTCG over what she called an unlawful salary calculation, making the decision on the variable component even more unjustified, Vijesti reports.
