Serbia face Germany tonight in the Nations League — the “Eagles” without organized fans in Munich due to a UEFA ban

Serbia will face Germany tonight, October 1, 2026, at Munich’s Allianz Arena stadium, in the third match of League A of the Nations League. The match, which kicks off at 20:45, finds the “Eagles” in a difficult situation after two defeats in their first two matches, without a single point collected.

Tonight’s match will take place without an organized section of Serbian fans, as HotSport reports, citing RTL.Sport. UEFA has handed Serbia a ban dating back to December 2024, with a two-match ban for away fans: the first part of the ban was served in the match against Austria in March 2025, while the second part is being served tonight in Munich. The Football Association of Serbia did not take up its ticket allocation for its fans.

German media say the ban follows incidents by Serbian fans, including events at Euro 2024 and an incident with the Albanian flag. Thus, the “Eagles” will be forced to play without the organized support of their fans in a key match.

Facing them will be Germany, who have still not known victory in this edition of the Nations League: a 1-1 draw with the Netherlands and a 0-1 home defeat by Greece. The match also carries particular weight for the road to Euro 2028, according to the newspaper Danas.

The match falls during Oktoberfest in Munich; according to German media, around 60,000 of the 70,000 available tickets have been sold, while the famous festival and the absence of away fans are cited as the reasons for the unsold tickets.
