Spajić: The “Euro model” will have a particularly positive effect on the demographic picture of the north
As CdM reports, Montenegro’s Prime Minister Milojko Spajić has stated that the announced “Euro model” economic model for strengthening citizens economically will have a particularly positive effect on the demographic picture of the north of the country. The statement came in the greeting Spajić sent to the leaders and citizens of Rožaje on the occasion of 30 September – Municipality Day.
In his greeting, according to CdM, Spajić remembered with reverence all those who, defending human dignity, freedom and the richness of diversity, carved themselves through sacrifice and personal dedication into a civic, cosmopolitan and prosperous Rožaje and Montenegro. “Sincerely following in their footsteps, the doors of the home of Europe’s most advanced democracies have opened wide before our generation,” he wrote.
The Prime Minister assessed that Rožaje’s contribution to the country’s overall reform and development momentum is of particular value. He stressed that, by unlocking its development potential, with an economic transformation towards sustainable development and reduced environmental risks, and with sensitivity towards its rich tradition and cultural heritage, Rožaje remains a strong pillar of the development of the north.
Spajić underlined that the steady growth in tourist numbers confirms that this municipality is becoming an ever better-known and more attractive tourist destination, with a great chance of becoming one of the most important regional centres of year-round tourism. He mentioned projects such as the reconstruction of the Rožaje–Berane national road and the further development of municipal, water-supply, hotel and skiing infrastructure.
“The announced Euro model for strengthening the citizens of Montenegro economically will have a particularly positive effect on the demographic picture of the north. It will not only help stop the further departure of the population from this region, but will also encourage the return of many members of the diaspora. Their rich experience, ideas and entrepreneurial spirit can spur the development of this region and open new prospects for the generations to come,” Spajić concluded, according to CdM, adding that by leading the European integration process, the state’s key constitutional attributes are fundamentally strengthened.
