Tensions Continue in Parliament, Plenary Session Interrupted Again

A 10-minute break did not calm the situation in Parliament. Opposition MPs continued to keep the Assembly’s podium blocked, preventing the session from continuing according to the agenda.

The Speaker of Parliament called on the opposition several times to vacate the podium, but in the absence of such action, Peleshi again decided to interrupt the session for another 5 minutes, until the podium is vacated.

The situation in Parliament escalated after the opposition’s request to change the agenda and include discussions on former SHISH chief Vlora Hyseni was rejected.
