Tepić: The elections are not an ordinary race, but “the final of the fight for Serbia’s liberation”
Marinika Tepić, deputy leader of the Party of Freedom and Justice (SSP) and one of the lead candidates of the “European Serbia” electoral list, declared that the 25 October parliamentary elections are not “an ordinary political race”, but “the final of the fight for the liberation of the state, which the current regime has taken hostage”.
She accused the regime of President Aleksandar Vučić of “systematically destroying institutions and violating laws”, adding that Serbia has been turned into “private property, a paradise for corruption and organised crime”. According to her, “healthcare and education have been melted down to ruins, while the economy has been fully subordinated to cartels and the party elite”.
Tepić stressed that 25 October “could be the date of a historic turning point” and that the key objective of the “European Serbia” list is to change the system of values and establish the rule of law — including through a law on a special prosecutor for corruption by high officials.
She announced that the list is ready, once it takes power, to implement an operation similar to “Sabre” — the major police action that followed the assassination of Prime Minister Zoran Đinđić in 2003.
