The plenary session begins, MPs raise citizens’ concerns after meetings with voters

Parliament convened this Monday (October 5) in a plenary session to discuss the issues identified by voters. In this session, MPs are expected to raise citizens’ concerns from the rostrum.

Within the framework of the “Prania Besnike” (Faithful Presence) initiative, MPs hold meetings with their voters every Friday at 17:00. The issues, complaints and requests addressed during these meetings will also be conveyed for discussion in the plenary session.

Today’s session comes after a tense Parliament meeting on September 24, where the clashes between the opposition and the majority focused on the issue of the former director of SHISH, Vlora Hyseni.

During the last session, the opposition requested a change to the agenda to hold a debate on the developments at SHISH and on the situation created after the security measure was set against Hyseni. The request was not accepted by the majority, while opposition MPs blocked Parliament’s rostrum, causing repeated interruptions of the proceedings.
