Three dead and 7 injured in Russian strike on a warehouse in northern Ukraine (VIDEO)

A Russian strike on a warehouse belonging to an agricultural company in northern Ukraine killed three people and injured seven others, police said, as Moscow escalated its attacks on Ukraine’s logistics infrastructure.

“According to initial reports, three people were killed and seven were injured,” the national police said in a statement.

The strike hit a warehouse in Pryluky, Chernihiv region, about 130 kilometers northeast of Kyiv, according to the same source, which did not specify the type of munition used.

Police also released photos showing a small brick building damaged by the explosion.

Since the start of the invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Russia has caused major damage to the energy infrastructure.

This summer it has also intensified its attacks on the Ukrainian capital and the country’s logistics infrastructure, using missiles and jet-powered drones that Ukraine has struggled to intercept.

The strikes have blocked grain exports from the Black Sea, a major source of revenue for Kyiv.

They have also targeted steel plants, another key sector of the economy, as well as supply chains, railway networks and large warehouses as winter approaches.

In recent months, Ukraine has also stepped up its attacks on Russian soil, mainly targeting refineries and supply depots, in response to Moscow’s strikes.
