The full police announcement:

Specialists for Crime Investigation at the Kavajë Police Commissariat, as a result of investigations carried out to solve the thefts and identify and apprehend the perpetrators, organized and finalized, in cooperation with the Durrës Police Commissariat, the operation codenamed “Cooperation.”

As part of this operation, citizens L. R., 37, and A. H., 32, both residents of Tirana, were arrested. These citizens had been declared wanted after, on 24.09.2026, they stole a vehicle in Kavajë and then fled, after being helped by citizens L. D. and B. S. (arrested), who violently resisted police officers.

During the operation codenamed “Cooperation,” police services located the vehicle in which these citizens were traveling and signaled them to stop, but they did not comply and resisted the actions of police officers.

Checks revealed that the vehicle with foreign license plates in which these citizens were traveling was stolen.

Investigations suspect that these citizens, during September, in cooperation with each other, stole 3 vehicles in Durrës, while in Tirana they stole 2 vehicles, in one case threatening the vehicle’s owner with a knife.

It is also suspected that on 17.09.2026, citizen A. H. forcibly stole a sum of money (the daily takings) at a gas station in Bulqizë.

Investigations continue to solve other thefts these citizens may have committed.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecution Office at the Durrës Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction for further action.
