IRGC Commander Karami: Iran will not “surrender a single centimeter” to the enemy

Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) ground forces, Brigadier General Mohammad Karami, declared that Iran will not “surrender a single centimeter” to the enemy during an inspection of operational bases in the country’s northwest.

“By God’s grace, we will not surrender a single centimeter to the enemy, as we did during the period of the Sacred Defense [the 1980–1988 Iran–Iraq war], and the future belongs to glorious Islam and the heroic Iranian nation,” Karami was quoted as saying by the Iranian news agency Mehr.

Karami also stressed the continuation of the “path of resistance and resilience,” in a message aimed at boosting the morale of Iranian forces amid continued U.S. pressure.

His remarks come at a time of high tension, as Washington has warned Tehran of grave consequences if it does not accept a deal to end the war.
