University of Montenegro opens master’s admissions: 1,890 places

The University of Montenegro (UCG) has opened the competition for enrolment in master’s studies for the 2026/2027 academic year, with 1,890 places planned across 19 organisational units, as Vijesti reports. According to the University, competition applications are submitted today, while candidates in all master’s programmes are required to take the entrance exam, which will be organised on Wednesday and Thursday.

The content and structure of the entrance exam are determined by the organisational units, while information and exam schedules will be published on their notice boards and websites, the University clarifies. Applications are submitted to the student services of the organisational units, during their working hours.

Enrolment requires the original diploma or certificate of completion of basic studies and a copy of the biometric identity card, while foreign citizens submit the relevant personal document. Foreign candidates must also provide proof of knowledge of the language in which the studies are conducted, except where they completed their basic studies in one of the languages in official use in Montenegro.

Eligible to apply for academic and applied master’s studies worth 120 ECTS credits are Montenegrin and foreign citizens who have completed, in accordance with the law, the relevant basic studies with at least 180 ECTS credits from the relevant field of science or art. Candidate enrolment and the issuance of certificates will be completed by October 5, according to the schedules of the organisational units.
