Victim of the Peqin-Elbasan road accident identified, she was a passenger in one of the vehicles

The elderly woman who lost her life as a result of the serious road accident recorded this evening on the Peqin-Elbasan national road has been identified.

The victim is citizen Drita Xhaja, 70 years old, who was travelling as a passenger in one of the two vehicles that collided at the place called “Pazari,” on the Pajovë-Bishqem road segment. The elderly woman was initially reported in serious health condition, but she could not survive the injuries she sustained.

The two drivers of the vehicles involved in the accident were also injured in the collision.

Medical emergency teams and Police services arrived immediately at the scene, while the investigation team continues its actions to fully clarify the circumstances and causes of this accident.
