Abrashi: The law on the Specialist Chambers was never at risk — it has 90 votes, the president does not have 80 votes

Vetëvendosje Movement MP Artan Abrashi has described as incomprehensible the Democratic Party of Kosovo’s conditions regarding the vote on the Law on the Specialist Chambers and the issue of electing the president.

Abrashi said that LVV has never linked the president issue with the vote on the law.

“We have never linked the president issue with the vote on the law,” Abrashi declared.

According to him, the president issue was sent to the Constitutional Court by the PDK and the deadline for his election came as a result of this process.

“The PDK itself sent the president issue to the Constitutional Court and the date came to us as it came,” Abrashi said.

Abrashi declared that the Law on the Specialist Chambers was never at risk and as proof of this he mentioned today’s vote, where the draft law received 90 votes.

“The law was never at risk, we saw today that the law received 90 votes; the president does not have 80 votes,” Abrashi said.

The LVV MP accused the PDK of manipulating citizens’ feelings regarding this issue.

“The defence of the former KLA leaders on appeal requires institutional engagement,” Abrashi declared, as Telegrafi reports.
