Fuel becomes more expensive in Montenegro from midnight: gasoline +2 cents, diesel +1 cent
All types of fuel in Montenegro become more expensive from midnight, as Montenegro Television (RTCG) announces, referring to the maximum prices announced by the Ministry of Energy and Mining.
Under the new decision, which enters into force on 6 October, both types of gasoline rise by two cents per litre: Eurosuper 98 is sold at 1.81 euros per litre, while Eurosuper 95 reaches 1.77 euros per litre. Eurodiesel becomes more expensive by one cent and reaches 1.96 euros per litre.
The only exception to the increase is heating oil (lož ulje), whose price falls by four cents, dropping to 1.98 euros per litre, according to RTCG’s reporting.
The Ministry explains that the prices were calculated under the government’s decision to cut excise duty: the excise was reduced by 25 percent for gasoline and by 15 percent for eurodiesel, which partially softened the effect of the price increase.
The next price calculation will be made on 12 October, while the new prices will be valid from 13 October, the ministry announces.
