“Why, don’t you like me?” — Rama jokes with a journalist in Brussels over Albania: “It doesn’t matter, but…”

Prime Minister Edi Rama is invited today to the Euronews Summit 2026 in Brussels, where he will speak about the future of tourism, investments and Albania’s potential. During the interview with the journalist, Rama did not hold back the jokes.

Rama: “We have opened up as a country, because people are looking at where the opportunities are. Albania has the conditions to work with big investors, in a serious and professional way.”

Journalist: “But why do they like you, do you think?” Rama: “Why, don’t you like me?” Journalist: “Well, it doesn’t matter for this conversation whether I like you or not.” Rama: “But it matters a lot, because if you like me, you understand why they like me. And if you don’t like me, I have to explain to you why you should like me… I’m joking. It’s not that they like me, but Albania is too beautiful not to be liked.”
