Ymeri: Parliament to vote on two declarations on The Hague, but protesters’ demands not reflected
Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) MP Janina Ymeri has announced that tomorrow’s session of the Kosovo Assembly is expected to put to a vote declarations concerning The Hague case.
Ymeri said two declarations have been prepared, one by the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) and one by the Vetevendosje Movement (LVV).
According to her, the vote on these declarations is taking place in parallel with citizens’ protests which, as she stressed, include several demands not covered by the documents expected to be voted on.
“For the public’s information, tomorrow the Assembly is expected to receive for a vote declarations on The Hague issue. Draft declarations from PDK and from VV,” Ymeri wrote.
She criticized the lack of dialogue with protest representatives before the matter was brought to the Assembly for a vote.
“The issue is that no conversation or debate has been opened with the protesters to see what the Assembly can do before two positions come to the agenda for a vote, albeit from representatives of the people in the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo,” the LDK MP declared.
Ymeri announced that she has invited protest representatives to a meeting, saying she is ready to meet them before the plenary session begins.
“At the same time I also welcome the opportunity for a meeting with protest representatives tomorrow from 8:00 to 10:00 at the Assembly, before the session starts at 11,” she wrote, as Telegrafi reports.
