“Your turn is next!” — Balla lashes out at Shehaj after attempt to extort 100,000 euros from Armand Duka

The head of the Socialist Party’s parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, has reacted after the arrest of two young men suspected of trying to take 100,000 euros from the president of the Albanian Football Federation (FSHF), Armand Duka, using his name.

In a post on social media, Balla accused the leader of the Mundësia party, Agron Shehaj, of ties to call-center activity.

“I have told you often about this clown that he is the biggest fraudster of the call centers. They rob you over the phone! Convicted of stealing personal data,” Balla wrote.

He then addressed Shehaj directly: “Run after these fraudsters that the Police arrested today — your turn is next!”

Balla’s reaction comes after the police operation in which Edison Korra, 24, and Orest Balla, 23, were arrested. According to released data, they allegedly contacted Armand Duka through a fake profile on “Signal,” posing as Taulant Balla and initially demanding 100,000 euros in cryptocurrency. After Duka reported them, police set up a controlled handover and arrested the suspects red-handed.
