Zhegrova nets a brace, but… Juve fall 3-2 to Sassuolo in stoppage-time heartbreak

No two without three — but not for Juventus. The Bianconeri twice caught up with Sassuolo, but in the end suffered a 3-2 defeat at the death in week 4 of Serie A. The defeat at Mapei Stadium hurts doubly, as the winning goal was scored by former Juve player Adzic.

After a balanced first half, with Nico Gonzalez hitting the crossbar, the second half began with Esposito in the 65th minute scoring the first goal. Zhegrova, brought on in the 60th minute in place of Conceição, equalized in the 82nd minute.

In the final minutes, Bowie in the 89th put the hosts ahead again. Zhegrova in the 90+1st minute responded again to restore the balance, but Adzic in the 90+4th finally decided the fate of the match.
