A Belgian Plane Landed in Pristina Yesterday — KFOR Explains What It Was About

KFOR has denied reports published by some media regarding a Belgian transport plane that landed in Pristina.

In a response to media, KFOR clarified that the Belgian aircraft landed in Pristina yesterday afternoon, but was not involved in any activity in support of KFOR.

“KFOR is well positioned throughout Kosovo to deal with various security situations and continues to fully implement its long-standing United Nations mandate, based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999,” KFOR’s response reads.

KFOR also stressed that it continues to contribute to maintaining a safe and calm environment for all people living in Kosovo, as well as guaranteeing freedom of movement.

According to KFOR, these tasks are carried out impartially and in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and EULEX, each within its own security role. (via Telegrafi)
