Action in front of the Assembly, swift approval of the Law on the Specialist Chambers is demanded
The organisers of the “Not in my name” protest held a symbolic action in front of the Assembly of Kosovo. They placed a banner with the names of all the MPs of the Assembly, calling on them to vote for the law on the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA).
According to the organisers, the law on the KLA should be a priority for the Assembly of Kosovo, while the MPs are called on to reflect and to take steps to vote for it.
Çlirim Haziri said that the Albanian MPs have an obligation towards the KLA and the sacrifice of the martyrs, on which, according to him, Kosovo’s institutions have been built.
“The KLA does not belong to the political parties, the KLA belongs to the people. You are MPs elected by the people and you have a moral, national and legal obligation towards the people of Kosovo to reflect on their demands. The KLA should not be a secondary topic for the Parliament of Kosovo, it should be among our MPs’ priorities”, Haziri said.
The banner placed in front of the Assembly included all the MPs, while the organisers made a distinction between the Albanian MPs and those of the Serb community, from whom they said they do not expect support for this initiative.
