Bad Weather: Rain Causes Rock and Mud Slides on the Skuraj–Burrel Road; Bulldozers Deployed to Reopen It

Rainfall during the afternoon of September 25 caused problems near the tunnel in Shkopet, where masses of rock and earth broke off the mountain and fell onto the road.

As a result, the Skuraj–Burrel road was temporarily blocked by the debris.

Road maintenance crews intervened with a bulldozer to clear the rocks and earth, aiming to restore traffic on the segment.

Other rock and mud slides were also recorded on this road earlier in the day. Maintenance crews intervened continuously to clean the road and keep it passable, ABC News reports.

Authorities are urging drivers to exercise caution while traveling on this road, especially because of the rain and the risk of further slides.
