Berisha demands a debate on SHISH in Parliament: This parliament does not deserve to stay convened for a single hour

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, criticized Parliament during today’s plenary session, demanding that the issue of the State Intelligence Service (SHISH) be placed at the center of the discussions.

At this Monday’s session (October 5), MPs have been called to raise the concerns and problems of citizens from Parliament’s rostrum, within the framework of the “Prania Besnike” initiative.

Speaking from Parliament’s rostrum, Berisha accused the majority of avoiding discussion on issues which, according to him, are linked to the security and the functioning of the state.

He continued with further accusations against the majority, claiming that Parliament has been turned into an institution which, according to him, does not protect the interests of citizens.

“This parliament does not deserve to stay convened for a single hour. It has been turned into a despicable servant of the narco-state. A flagrant violator of the most vital interests of citizens, it has been turned into an institution of shame that is blindly serving the narco-regime. For every Albanian citizen, the most fundamental issue is how the pyramid of their security was proven to be a pyramid of the narco-state, of crime and of the drug cartels. You, instead of moving everything from the agenda and bringing here the debate on the fatal blow dealt by the narco-state to the Albanian state, the annihilation of the Albanian state by the narco-state, pretend to shed crocodile tears for those citizens whom you hate, despise and steal from. There has never been a parliament as distorted as this parliament,” Berisha said.
