Berisha on the Hyseni case: You become advocates of Rama and the former head of SHISH

Sali Berisha brought back to Parliament the case of the former director of SHISH, Vlora Hyseni, accusing the majority of avoiding a parliamentary debate on the case.

During his speech in the session, the DP leader said Parliament should discuss what he described as a “fatal blow” against the Albanian state and raised the claim that Hyseni has been recruited by criminal groups.

“You, instead of moving everything from the agenda and bringing here the debate on the fatal, final blow to the Albanian state by the narco-state, the final annihilation of the Albanian state by Edi Rama’s narco-state, do nothing,” Berisha said.

He continued with accusations against socialist MPs, claiming that they are taking a stance in defence of Prime Minister Edi Rama and the former SHISH director.

“A part of you has ordered murders, a part of you has made the dirtiest deals with drug cartels. And now we become advocates of Rama and of Vlora Hyseni,” he said.

Berisha said the case should also be treated in relation to national security interests and cooperation with allies.

“You put above the interests of Albanians, of Albania, but also above the interests of NATO and international cooperation, the mafia interests of a man who has neither law nor morals, who behaves like a boss on the ground and you like his slaves,” the DP leader declared.

Next, Berisha returned directly to the case of the former SHISH director, raising the question of why the majority does not accept a parliamentary debate.

“How can you avoid a debate before Albanians at a time when the head of SHISH is recruited by gangs, the mafia, the cartels? Where do you find this morality and this justification? You are slaves of the godfather,” he said.

In conclusion, Berisha described Parliament as an institution that, according to him, is not protecting citizens’ interests and accused the majority of support for certain figures of politics and crime.

“This Parliament should disappear as soon as possible. It tramples every interest of Albanians,” Berisha declared.
