Bosnia: all tickets sold in 15 minutes for Edin Dzeko’s final match

Fifteen minutes. That’s all it took for all available tickets for Edin Dzeko’s final match in the Bosnia-Herzegovina jersey to disappear. A fact that shows better than any words the bond between the captain and his country.

October 2, at Bilino Polje in Zenica, will be a night destined to enter Bosnian football history. Dzeko will play his last international match against Sweden, his farewell after almost twenty years with Bosnia. News of his decision caused a strong reaction among fans, but the rush for tickets further underlined the love for the captain.

According to Klix, the tickets posted on the Bosnian Football Federation’s platform were sold within minutes. Bilino Polje will be full, with approximately 11,000 seats available for what promises to be an exciting evening.

Dzeko announced his retirement after 151 appearances and 73 goals for Bosnia, figures that made him the national team’s all-time top scorer. His journey with the Dragons began almost twenty years ago and included some of the most important moments in the country’s football history, including qualification for the 2014 World Cup, Bosnia’s first and, to date, only appearance at the World Cup.
