Citizens Still in the Square — Haradinaj Calls for Unity in the Assembly, Musliu: ‘I Will Do My Part’
Many citizens continue to gather in Skënderbeu Square, in front of the Government building in Prishtina, after today’s verdict in The Hague against the four former KLA leaders.
From the square came a call for Kosovo’s institutions and Assembly deputies to stand with the citizens and show unity at this moment.
Nasim Haradinaj called on the Assembly to convene and come out with a joint request, urging deputies to be with the citizens in the square.
“If you haven’t been able to agree until today, can you start agreeing tonight? We need unity to do something — it’s the last hour,” Haradinaj said.
The call was joined by MP Ganimete Musliu, who invited all deputies, regardless of party, to stand with the citizens and contribute in the Assembly as well.
“I will do my part in the Assembly, and you as citizens keep standing. You have me behind you,” Musliu said.
Citizens continue to stand in the square, with further reactions expected during the evening.
