Conviction of the KLA Four: Joseph Calls It “Shocking” — Serbia, Russia and China Will Try to Isolate Kosovo Further

“Johns Hopkins University” professor Edward P. Joseph has called shocking the verdict of the Special Court in The Hague, which sentenced former KLA leaders Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi to 81 years in prison.

In an interview for “War Report” on ABC News, Joseph said Serbia will use this decision to discredit the KLA and its activity.

Joseph added that Serbia and its allies, Russia and China, will try to isolate Kosovo even further.

“This will be used by Serbia as a tool to discredit the KLA, its activity. It will be used by Russia and China. They will try to isolate Kosovo even more. We have seen this month in Serbia, where the image of this figure has been honored, we have seen ceremonies, hate speech has been used in Belgrade. We have witnessed how long the sentences given are. The punishment is not equal to the punishments that Serbian figures, who have committed crimes, have received,” he stressed.
