“Don’t come back to Albania”: Lawyer Idajet Beqiri says SPAK sent a message to the former SHISH chief
Lawyer Idajet Beqiri, a guest on the “3D” show with Alban Dudushi, commented today (September 25) on the “house arrest” and “suspension from duty” security measures against the former director of the State Intelligence Service, executed on Tuesday evening.
Beqiri said SPAK published excerpts from the file sent to the court for imposing the security measure, which according to them show over 300 communications, messages and phone calls with Ergys Agasi, as well as conversations exchanged between them.
But according to the lawyer, this is not the essence of the charge. “This is not the essence of the charge, but what is called reasonable suspicion to start investigations. The suspicion is that she supported a wanted person and disclosed state secrets. But no information has been given on what material was provided, or suspected of being used in committing this criminal offense,” the lawyer said.
Beqiri added that SPAK had the opportunity to impose the security measure on Vlora Hyseni earlier, when she was present in Albania. “SPAK had the opportunity to impose the security measure on Vlora Hyseni on September 18, when they had her present. There was no need to impose it after she had left,” he stressed.
The lawyer described SPAK’s action as a clear message to the former SHISH chief. “Not only did it not do this, but when she left for Baku, they issued the security measure. This in essence means she was given the message: Don’t come back to Albania,” he said.
