False Bomb Threat at ‘Emin Duraku’ School: Tirana Court Orders 47-Year-Old to Report to Police

The Tirana court on Thursday imposed the security measure of mandatory police reporting on Mandi Jatagani, who was arrested after falsely alerting police that a bomb had been planted at the ‘Emin Duraku’ school in Tirana on the first day of the new school year.

The prosecution had requested house arrest, but during the hearing the 47-year-old declared that if the polystyrene materials are not removed from schools — which he claims are dangerous — he would do the same thing again.

Mandi Jatagani was arrested by counterterrorism investigators on charges of “disseminating false information that causes panic” and “filing a false report with law enforcement authorities.”
