Jordan and France Sign Defense Cooperation Agreement
Jordan and France on Thursday signed a defense cooperation agreement while also discussing their commitment to regional stability.
In a statement on X, King Abdullah of Jordan announced the signing of a Defense Cooperation Agreement with France and said that, together with the Lebanese president, the countries reaffirmed their commitment to regional stability.
The King said he and French President Emmanuel Macron had discussed ways to deepen ties and that the three leaders had stressed the importance of Paris hosting Aqaba Process meetings in support of the Lebanese Armed Forces.
“I discussed with President Macron ways to deepen our ties, and we witnessed the signing of a defence cooperation agreement. With President Aoun, we stressed the importance of Paris hosting Aqaba Process meetings in support of LAF, and reaffirmed commitment to regional stability.”
