Fire engulfs farmland in Ndërnenas, Fier, as flames advance toward greenhouses and stalls

A fire that started in the reed beds along the canals in the village of Ndërnenas, in Libofshë, has grown to alarming proportions, engulfing considerable areas of farmers’ agricultural land.

As Top Channel correspondent Neritan Trifoni reports, the flames have also reached parcels planted with olive trees, and the situation is worrying as the fire advances toward solar greenhouses, livestock stalls and the barns where farmers store animal feed.

Fire crews from Fier are on the ground, working to douse the flames and isolate the fire pockets in an effort to stop the blaze from spreading to farmers’ properties.
