Hamza: The Special Court’s Verdict Is Unjust and Unfounded; Its Course Has Completely Deviated from What Parliament Voted For

The leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Bedri Hamza, held a press conference after the meeting of the party’s Presidency and Parliamentary Group.

The PDK Presidency and Parliamentary Group met a day after the Special Court sentenced the former KLA leaders — Hashim Thaçi, Jakup Krasniqi, Kadri Veseli and Rexhep Selimi — to 81 years in prison in total.

He stressed that it is PDK’s finding that the Special Court’s verdict was unjust, unsustainable and unfounded.

“A verdict that damages the history, present and future of Kosovo,” he said, Telegrafi reports.

According to him, this is a verdict by a Court which has completely deviated from its course relative to what was voted in the Kosovo Assembly.

“The basis for the creation of this court was Dick Marty’s report, the terrible accusations within his report, and the case has deviated completely into something else, largely unfounded in facts and concrete evidence,” he said. /Telegrafi/
