Heavy Traffic on the Lezhë–Milot Road: Kilometer-Long Queues After the Return from the Coast

Sunday evening brought major difficulties for vehicle traffic on the Lezhë–Milot road.

Good weather and high temperatures prompted a large number of citizens to spend the weekend in the tourist areas of Shëngjin and Tale.

Their return toward the capital and other areas caused a heavy flow of vehicles, creating kilometer-long queues and significant travel delays. The heavy traffic continued for several hours, while drivers faced long waits and slowed movement.

This phenomenon has recurred often during summer and autumn weekends, when the Lezhë coastline draws many visitors, while the road infrastructure cannot cope with the large flow of vehicles.
