Israeli forces open fire in Syria’s Daraa province

Reports are coming in of Israeli fire targeting the outskirts of the Syrian villages of Maariya and Abidin, in Daraa province in the southwest of the country, as Al Jazeera reports.

There are still no immediate details on possible damage or casualties, and further confirmation is awaited on the nature of the incident.

Syria’s southern provinces have been repeatedly hit by Israeli strikes since the start of the regional war, with Israel saying it is striking targets linked to Iran and its allies.
