Milos Jovanovic in Pirot: “In power we will not force people to go to rallies like cattle”

As the Serbian newspaper Danas reports, citing a statement by Novi DSS, the leader of the list “Authentic Right – Dr Milos Jovanovic” promised today at a forum in Pirot that his coalition, as soon as it takes power and responsibility for running the country, “will never blackmail anyone for a vote and will not force people to go to its rallies like cattle”.

“The current pressures and blackmail are illegal,” Jovanovic said, adding that the coalition formed by Novi DSS and the Monarchists “will never underestimate the citizen of Serbia and will fight against partitocracy”.

“That is how dahis behave, but dahis are Turks, not Serbs. We are Serbs who want to bring out the best in this people by first setting an example of honesty ourselves,” Jovanovic said in Pirot, as quoted in his party’s statement.

He stressed that the officials of the “Authentic Right” list will behave “with dignity, honesty, justice, in a national, patriotic and democratic way”. The statements come 22 days before the early parliamentary elections of 25 October, in which his list is running against the ruling SNS and the Student List.
