Israeli jets strike the town of Bani Haiyyan in southern Lebanon

Israeli warplanes carried out two air strikes on the town of Bani Haiyyan in the Marjayoun district of southern Lebanon, according to Lebanon’s official NNA news agency, cited by Al Jazeera.

There was no immediate information on casualties or the extent of the damage caused by the strikes.

The strikes come amid ongoing Israeli operations in southern Lebanon since the start of the regional war.

The Israeli military has regularly hit targets in southern Lebanon, saying it aims at Hezbollah infrastructure.
