KLA War Veterans’ Organization Calls Nationwide Protest for Tomorrow at 12:00

Following the Special Court’s verdict, Gazmend Syla of the KLA War Veterans’ Organization (OVL-UÇK) said that on Friday they are calling a nationwide protest at 12:00 in “Skënderbeu” Square in Pristina.

Syla told a press conference that OVL-UÇK expresses its indignation over the verdict against the former KLA leaders.

“We express our deep indignation over the verdict against the KLA leaders. The KLA was never a criminal enterprise but the resistance of our people. No verdict can rewrite our liberation war… OVL-UÇK calls a nationwide protest tomorrow at 12:00 in ‘Skënderbeu’ Square,” he said.

He also said that the associations emerging from the KLA war will respond with the creation of a National Coordinating Council and a platform that will include Albania, Albanians in North Macedonia, and Albanians everywhere, including the diaspora.

“Until the appeal process, we demand the involvement of our institutions in this direction…” he said.

During his speech, Syla stressed: “Today at 16:30 I will present the platform and will join the students who are in the square.” /Telegrafi/
