Kosovo risks losing 165 million from the Growth Plan
Kosovo risks losing over 165 million euros from the European Union’s Growth Plan, after the 50 million it lost in June, if the required reforms are not completed by December 31 by institutions with a regular mandate, as Klan Kosova reports.
Brussels’ millions waited a long time, but the time for them is running out. According to expert Qemajl Marmullakaj from the KLI, some of the required conditions are difficult to implement in the political situation in which the country finds itself.
Besides the financial damage, a possible failure is assessed to also damage the state’s image in relations with European partners.
Prime Minister Albin Kurti, during the second meeting of the Ministerial Council for European Integration, had declared that eight of the reforms require the approval of draft laws in the Assembly. There it was announced that if the Assembly is functional, the funds will not be lost.
The deadline for fulfilling the reforms is December 31 of this year.
