Kurti from the US: The diaspora once sacrificed for Kosovo, today it can invest to gain

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti said that for decades the scale of support and the role of the diaspora in the United States, as well as compatriots around the world, have been vital for the well-being as citizens and for Kosovo’s triumph in the war for freedom and its commitment to state-building.

Kurti made the statement through a post on the social network Facebook, where he wrote, among other things: “Now the Republic of Kosovo, an independent, sovereign, democratic state with sustainable development, offers excellent opportunities for investment. Thus, unlike decades ago, our compatriots no longer need to sacrifice to contribute, because they can invest to gain.”

He further said that at an evening organized with Data4X and Ed and Barbara Hammel at Richard Lukaj’s residence in Westchester, with compatriots as well as American investors and politicians, including former Hartford mayor Luke Bronin, they discussed concrete opportunities and ways for American investment in Kosovo and the facilitating role of our diaspora in this regard.
