LeBron James revives “Taco Tuesday” tradition ahead of his first season with the 76ers

LeBron James revived the “‘Taco Tuesday'” tradition as he prepares for his first season as a Philadelphia 76ers player, posting a video on Instagram as part of a partnership with Mike’s Red Tacos.

According to Bleacher Report, the NBA star previously shared videos of family taco nights during the 2019 holiday season, and in a statement said he loves food and the way tacos bring people together to create traditions and special moments with family and friends; the statement was made known through Rhea Caoile of Fox 5 San Diego (h/t Yahoo Sports).

James signed on July 24 a two-year contract with Philadelphia, worth $8 million, and comes to the 76ers after eight seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers. In his last season with the Lakers he recorded averages of 20.9 points, 7.2 assists, 6.1 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game, shooting 51.5 percent from the field and 31.7 percent from three-point range.

With LeBron and Jaylen Brown in the starting lineup, and playing alongside Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe, expectations for Philadelphia’s 2026-27 season are high; as Bleacher Report reports, the team appears strengthened and aims to fight at high levels this championship.
