Ljiljanić: Two million euros for subsidies, more than 1,600 applications for extended stay in schools
Podgorica Assembly councillor Nađa Ljiljanić from the Movement for Podgorica announced that the Capital City of Podgorica has envisaged two million euros for subsidising children’s extended stay in schools, while so far more than 1,600 applications have been submitted, as the CdM portal reports.
According to Ljiljanić, more than 1,500 families have turned to the Capital since the start of the subsidisation programme, which shows parents’ great interest in this support measure.
She announced that changes and supplements to the Capital’s decision on the manner of distributing the subsidies have been announced, in order for the support to be fairer and more targeted to the families who need it most.
The councillor stressed that extended stay in schools is an important help for working parents, enabling children care and educational activities even after school hours.
The news was published today at around 19:17 according to CdM.
